This new exhibition celebrates the enduring presence and rich culture of the Gadigal people. It addresses the losses and manipulations my people have faced while emphasising the strong connection to our language, culture, and histories.
Visit the exhibition at NSW Parliament House on weekdays, 9am to 5pm between 4 July and 1 August 2024. Access is to the left of the building via the security gatehouse.
Wumera Nangamay: A Salt Lake Series
Translation: to fly like a bird or a spear through the sky into dreaming (‘nanga’- sleep, ‘may’ - eye)
Opens on Thursday 13th June for 4 weeks at Cooee Art Leven. 17 Thurlow Street, Redfern. Gadigal Country
Last year I was asked by amazing chef @lukesbistroandbarsydneyairport to create an artwork for his new bistro for @qantas at @sydneyairport.
This large scale work was created as two individual works at scale and then merged into a vinyl medium for the walls.
The colours of country were chosen to reflect a unique Australian colour palette and to reflect the authentic vibe that Luke had brought to the menu offering.
Super proud to be involved in this project.
You can purchase a personally signed copy from my store!
I was invited to a Cultural talk about Country and my artwork at Salesforce HQ, Sydney. I was so very pleased to accomodate and have my Gadigal Elder Uncle Ray also come along!
At 2024 Milan Design Week, Technogym celebrates its 40 years with the special exhibition "Design to Move” featuring 40 unique Technogym Benches, one of the brand iconic home wellness products, designed by 40 different international designers and artists.
I was invited by Italian company Technogym as the Australian artist to create a piece of art on their TechnoBench for this exhibition. After Salone, the unique Technogym Benches will be auctioned in collaboration with Sotheby’s and the proceeds will be donated to Unicef.
