Willie Weston Collection
For nearly 10 years, Willie Weston has honoured First Nations stories from the most remote corners of Australia, and more recently Naarm (Melbourne), through our fabrics and wallpapers. We are excited to present our latest collection, celebrating the rich heritage of the Gadigal – some of the traditional custodians of Sydney’s harbour region – created in partnership with renowned artist, Kate Constantine.
Kate Constantine is a proud Gadigal woman of the Eora nation. Her art practice draws upon and reimagines her ancestral traditions, with the aim of bringing Gadigal culture into the consciousness of non-Indigenous Australians. Kate’s painting practice often incorporates veils of fine dotting, layered upon abstracted landscapes and motifs. Our collection reveals another side to the artist - her delicate, confident line work and sketching.
The collection invites calm reflection, a consideration of the natural world, and a celebration of our coastal regions.
